Laws of Fizz-Hics by Stephen A. Dantes

Laws of fizz-hics

Lust speaks in words that hide confusion;

Ambiguous

Infatuation trusts the things that mean nothing but is everything;

Foolish

Love sees the invisible and yet completely misses the obvious;

Blind

Pleasure hides the tears that surface later through words not spoken;

Deceitful

Lie pretends to be the ever present escape in times of trouble although the intension is to appease the appalled;

Hypocritical

Fate borrows the promise of tomorrow and alters it outside of your control;

Ambitious

Destiny remains the only port of disembarkation when yesterday's choices fly today;

Truthful

Innocence aspires to being the only bridge between truth and lie;

Silent and Salient

Dream decides what a reality should be and could be;

Selfish

Truth, boasts that wisdom lies in the state there of;

Free

SOME OF YOUR COMMENTS

Shamma Gabriel (May 27th 2010): I am absolutely star struck. That poem spoke to me in so many different ways that one cannot even imagine

Waynella Dantes (November 29th 2009): This piece really captured n held my interest.....Good job....

Shanya Evans (November 6th 2009): I love this one.. Inspires me to think.!!!

Petra Wallace (November 3rd 2009): this is beautiful keep up the good work

Mark Hennecart (November 1st 2009): Congrats on the release of another two good pieces. I can connect with "Laws of Fizz-hics".

The feelings it conjures up seems in context with two other great poems I read - Proverbs and Ecclesiastes.

While both describe the searches their authors had engaged to find the purpose of life, one is a discovery of the first ‘Principles of Life’ while the other alludes to the secondary ‘Elements of Life.

I trust that Laws of Fizz-hics will urge readers to dig deeper to that tertiary level where the ‘Aspects of Life’ can be uncovered.

Keep probing Bro.

Marie (October 31st 2009): I like the use of adjectives which seem to summarize  each line, the way your subjects relate to love or pretty much built around one topic...you've given a lot of life to your subjects. I really love this poem!

rev Norbert Larcher (October 31st 2009): enjoyable reading which makes sense. Please continue Brother.

Rebecca Miller (October 31st 2009): I would rather you take your time and write an excellent poem instead. This is okay but it need to be reviewed and rewritten. Now Go back and rewrite!
